On of the biggest factors causing the rapid rise in prices in Brantford is the cost of housing compared to our neighbouring communities. To make a fair comparison I selected similar style homes in all the neighbouring cities to show you just how affordable Brantford is - and why people are leaving the GTA and KW area to relocate to Brantford.
In this graphic we compared town homes sold this year (2017). The median sale price for a Brantford town home has been $298,000 - less than half of the price if you want a similar home in Peel (Mississauga) or Halton (Burlington). Even as close as Ancaster (on 15-20 min on the 403) townhouse prices are more than double.
With a price gap this big it's no wonder people are driving down the 403 to afford their dream home.
