Make A Splash This Summer

I love summer, give me green grass and a warm breeze any day! But when the thermometer starts to climb we're on the lookout for some family friendly (and wallet friendly) ways to cool off.

Brantford and Brant County have some great splash pads and public pools.

There are several free splash pads in and around the city that keep the kids entertained- the fountain at Harmony Square doubles as a splash pad from 10am to 10pm (there are washrooms/change rooms located just beside the Bell stage). Mohawk Park Pavilion and Bridle Path Park also offer a free place to take the family to cool off and enjoy an out door picnic. If you don’t mind a little drive, Burford Community Centre and Paris Lion’s Park (located at the Paris Pool) also offer free splash pad areas located next to great playgrounds for when everyone is cooled off.

If you are looking for a bigger splash, Woodman Park pool, Wayne Gretzky Centre and Earl Haig Park have swimming - and offer family rates as well.

For more information on rates, hours of operation, and what you can do with your family this summer check out:

Have a ‘cool’ summer, Brantford!
